A Strange Little Corner

As I have mentioned in previous posts I see pattern, structure and urban decay in the most unusual of spaces and places. This little corner of someone's world in Santa Monica caught my eye. Out of respect and privacy for this individual I will not post the address - but it is real. Really strange too.

The images below are not a part of the shrine. They are nearby examples of urban decay and structure.

  1. The "shrine" must have been stinky. Urban decay seems to be built in, now-a-days. Like cars and fashion, not designed to last, thus the plethora of "junk." Sigh.

  2. Actually, no smell at all because it was all dry. And in my eyes strangely beautiful.

  3. It is amazing what people will choose to do. There is a sense of pattern to the assemblage, but makes you wonder why there, and why that material, and how did he/she get so many ectoskeletons. Restaurant refuse?

    1. Some of the remains are so old, dry and bleached that I wondered if the person ate all of the innards, over time. In questioning art and stamina this one leaves questions. Good, no?
